Naha Central Post Office.

Naha Central Post Office.

Naha Central Post Office.

Naha Central Post Office. is the central post office of Naha, with “Okinawa District Customs Naha Foreign Mail Branch Office” and “Okinawa Postal Data Center” in addition to normal postal functions.

Naha Central Post Office, is the central post office for postal services in Okinawa.

I came here to pick up my debit card today.

This customs check is worked when sending goods overseas or receiving packages from overseas.

Diagonally across from Yui Rail Tsubogawa Station,

There is the Naha Central Post Office.

Well, if you’re an adult Okinawan citizen, the majority of them usually ride cars or motorcycles, so I guess those who come here on the monorail are high school students and younger, or people from outside the prefecture.

Or a person whose driver’s license is being suspended, lol.

I wanted to get a debit card as soon as possible, so I rushed to the post office early on Monday morning with a package notification.

But, Not like in the past, the post office became a private company, so they do really a lot of businesses now.

They also sell postcards and other items.

Japan Post Bank is a financial business,

They are also focusing on businesses such as “Yu-Pack”, which is the same service as home delivery, “homeland-delivery”, and “specialty products delivery”.

The PO Box is also a rental space business.

The “Yu Yu counter” is a counter where you can receive parcels that have been notified of absence at the time of delivery, and it also functions as an out-of-hours counter at the post office, allowing you to send express mail and Yu-Pack parcels.

You can receive a parcels by presenting your absence notification slip and ID card.

Okinawa Regional Customs Naha Overseas Mail.

It collects customs duties, clears customs for import and export cargo, controls smuggling, etc., and is used when we ship packages overseas.

Ordinary post offices also handle overseas shipments, but the central post office is the specialist of international postage, their knowledge and correspondence are accurate.

There are a few customers, and were all elderly.

Okinawa Postal Materials Center.

A facility that introduces the history of postal services and communications from the Ryukyu dynasty era to the Ryukyu domain era, during the war, and after the war.

It opened in 1994 as the “Okinawa Telecommunications Museum,” but on October 1, 2007, it changed its name to the “Okinawa Postal Materials Center.”

Opening hours: 10:00-16:00
Closed: Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays, year-end and New Year holidays (December 29th to January 3rd)
Tour fee: Free.

People probably don’t go to the post office much these days, but I saw a young woman at the post to drop off mail.

Postage can be sent without going to the post office reception.

Well, in other words, a post is an “unattended mail reception box”.

Next time when I mail this card to Taiwan, I will come to this post office again.
